Martijn Pater has a strong background in innovation. Having studied Industrial Design at the acclaimed university of Delft, he started Fronteer Strategy after years of consulting experience at Bain & Company and Auberon. His special interests include motorbikes (before founding Fronteer Strategy he made a round trip to Mongolia on a BMW), open innovation and new product design.  Martijn is also co-founder and inventor of Smartcap, a next-generation soft-shell helmet for ice skaters. Martijn has two young kids.
